its a side-pipe exhaust josh.  Looks to be about 5 inch chrome.  runs along where my step bars are.  looks pretty good on a dualy not sure about a single wheel though.

It will also suck when you touch it getting in or out.  Not really practical.  Looks good, but can cause problems.  I had that type of exhaust on one of my chevy 4x4s long ago.  Bought many pairs of panty hose the were melted to the pipe.  Not even going into the leg burns that a number of women were not happy about.

well you could always come in and make a drop step like my bars, but you would have to make it super strong.  Plus a heatguard on it wouldnt look bad, but you wouldnt get a 5 inch with that.  you would look more towards 3 or 4 max.

btw josh, when you said you werent going straight pipe with your truck.  I got to thinking about it on the drive into work, what you heard wasnt the exhaust, that was my engine  HAHA  in fact i hear my engine and turbo whine over the exhaust all the time.  and just barely turning up my radio blocks alot of it out.

Check out this thread on single stack kit from FTE Diesel.  It is all you need to get an inexpensive single stack that resembles mine.  Don't know where they got the idea for the bed adapter. LOL

Not much to it, very simple but will work if all you want is to put a single stack on.
